Faculty of Transport and Traffic Engineering, University of Belgrade

FTTE

The Faculty of Transport and Traffic Engineering, University of Belgrade was founded in 1950. It is the oldest faculty of this kind in Balkan area and the only one dealing with all transport modes and traffic problems. The Faculty has six departments: Water Transport and Traffic Engineering, Urban and Road Transport and Traffic Engineering, Railway Transport and Traffic Engineering, Postal and Telecommunication Transport and Traffic Engineering, Air Transport and Traffic Engineering and Logistics.

The Faculty of Transport and Traffic Engineering is an interdisciplinary research organization within the University of Belgrade, primarily oriented toward resolving problems in all aspects of transport and traffic engineering and communications. The main purpose of the Faculty is to promote applied research and new methodologies and technologies in the field of transport and traffic engineering and to find superior solutions, by engaging eminent experts, which will meet clients’ demands. Scopes of research and managing activities of the Faculty often require interdisciplinary approach, which further developed close professional connections with numerous experts and research organizations in the country and aboard.

The Faculty, due to its status, ensures full independence in the setting up of teams of experts for addressing particular issues. In each particular case, a multidisciplinary team of experts from the Faculty (for a specific field) is formed. In light of complex issues in the field of traffic and transport, flexible attitudes at the Faculty allow the involvement of experts from other research organizations in the country and from abroad, when required.
