University of Ljubljana

University of Ljubljana (UL) was founded in 1919 and is the largest university in Slovenia with more than 63.000 graduate and postgraduate students. Approximately 4.000 higher education teachers are employed in the 22 faculties, 3 arts academies and one university college. UL has several bilateral agreements with foreign universities and is a member of many international associations (CEEPUS, CEI, etc.).

The Faculty of Civil and Geodetic Engineering has three departments: Department of Civil Engineering, Department of Geodetic Engineering and Department of Environmental Civil Engineering. At the Department of Geodetic Engineering, Bachelor, Master and Doctoral courses on remote sensing, photogrammetry, cartography, geodesy, surveying, geoinformatics, real estate management and land planning are organized. A special emphasize is given to the interdisciplinary work. Teachers and researchers from the Department of Geodetic Engineering are active members in different international associations such as ISPRS, FIG, ICA, EEGECS. The Faculty of Civil and Geodetic Engineering has been successfully involved in many EU research programs, e.g. 6h and 7th Framework Program , COST, Leonardo da Vinci, ESPON, INTERREG.
